Calming RoomWhenever I hang a picture in this room, it always falls.
Even if I frame it and hang it on a nail on the wall
with a string, or put it on a shelf like a photo stand,
it falls to the floor before I know it.
It's not like the nails came off, the strings were cut,
or there was an earthquake.
It feels like someone deliberately removed it or dropped it.
Is it a mischief of an invisible person
like an earthbound spirit?
Perhaps the painting to decorate is bad.
I have a hobby of decorating with strange pictures,
such as river crossings and dog towns.
But a room without any decorations is lonely.
It's annoying when there are people,
but the picture is different.
So, these days, I drop my paintings
on the floor from the beginning.
If I think of it as such and look down,
I feel somehow calm.
